Inspiration and Mission
I never thought I could earn a degree in statistics. For a long time, I believed math just wasn’t for me. That experience inspired the idea behind Bridge2AI — to help others who may not yet see their own potential, but simply need an opportunity and some guidance to discover it. With support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and a team of colleagues who share this belief, bridge2AI became a reality. Together, we’re here to help others find confidence in their abilities and open doors to new possibilities.
In collaboration with James Madison University, CGI, and regional partners, bridge2AI equips learners with practical AI skills aligned with industry needs. Participants receive individualized advising, mentorship, and experiential learning through online courses, professional networking opportunities, and a 10-week hybrid internship at CGI’s Lebanon, VA center, and potential apprenticeship opportunities.
Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents
- Hold a high school diploma or higher
- Not currently enrolled in a degree program in AI or related fields
- Do not hold a degree in AI or related fields
